Fowl play on Cayuga Lake

We spent a magical day on the northeastern shore of Cayuga lake, just when thousands (millions?) of geese were migrating past. These are mostly Snow geese, with a smattering of Canada geese and assorted other birds.

Goin' with the floe One favorite pastime seems to be riding the ice floes. The geese pile on and then let the wind take them up the lake.
